In the last 24 hours, 18 more people have died due to coronavirus in the country. A total of 6,221 people have died.

Besides, 316 people have been identified in the last 24 hours. In all, the number of victims stands at 5 lakh 36 thousand 37 people.

The information was given in a press release sent from the health department on Monday afternoon.

In the last 24 hours, 13,062 samples were tested in 208 public and private labs of the country. A total of 38 lakh 72 thousand 84 samples were tested.

Meanwhile, 559 more people have recovered from Corona. With this, the total number of healthy people in the country stands at 4 lakh 83 thousand 931 people. Recovery rate is 79.69 percent.

After the first corona patient was identified in Bangladesh on March 6, the first one died on March 16, according to the Department of Health.
