The death toll from the epidemic corona virus has doubled in the last 24 hours in the country. Another 15 people died in one day. The death toll rose to 6,205. In addition, in the last 24 hours, 292 more corona have been identified. With this, a total of 5 lakh 37 thousand 72 people were identified in the country.

This information was given in the press release of the Department of Health about the coronavirus on Sunday (February 6) afternoon.

Earlier on Saturday (February 8), corona was identified in the bodies of 305 more people in the country. Besides, 6 people died among the victims.

Meanwhile, according to the World Omiter website, which has statistics on coronavirus infections and deaths, as of Sunday morning (February 8), 10 crore 63 lakh 29 thousand 752 people have been infected with coronavirus in the world and 23 lakh 18 thousand 949 people have died. Seven crore 69 lakh 60 thousand 17 people have returned home after recovering.

Corona has the highest number of infections and deaths in the United States so far. In the country which is at the top of the list, 2 crore 65 lakh 19 thousand 736 people have been infected with corona so far. Four lakh 63 thousand 526 people have died.

India, which is the second most affected and the third deadliest country in the world, has so far infected 186,160 people and killed 155,026.

In the Latin American country of Brazil, which is the third most affected and the second deadliest country in the world, 94,97,795 people have been infected with the corona. Two lakh 31 thousand 69 people have died.

Russia ranks fourth in terms of attacks. So far 39 lakh 51 thousand 233 people have been affected by corona in the country. The virus has killed 6,229 people.

The UK ranks fifth in the world in terms of attacks and deaths. So far 39 lakh 29 thousand 835 people have been infected with corona in the country. Of these, one lakh 12 thousand 92 people died. 

France is sixth, Spain seventh, Italy eighth, Turkey ninth and Germany tenth. Besides, Bangladesh ranks 31st.

Coronavirus transmission began in late December last year in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. So far, Covid-19 has spread to 217 countries and regions of the world including Bangladesh.
