Stating that she is running the country by being elected by the people, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “Our goal is to improve socio-economic development.” He made the remarks while virtually joining a function at the Birshreshtha Matiur Rahman Air Force Base in Jessore on Tuesday (January 23rd).

He joined the function from the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganobhaban. Sheikh Hasina said, “Our goal is to brighten the image of Bangladesh in the world court by making the country free from hunger and poverty.” We are working to make the situation in Bangladesh stronger. Today we have the opportunity to pass in developing countries. Inshallah, Bangladesh will move forward in this way.

Sheikh Hasina said the coronavirus has brought economic stagnation worldwide. We are trying to keep the economy moving with our limited energy. We have given different incentives. I am trying to take the country forward. We have already launched Bangabandhu Satellite-1. Besides, we are implementing many big infrastructure development projects. Bangladesh is a delta. I have a comprehensive plan for the people of this country to live properly. 

“We have formulated a plan to make Bangladesh economically self-sufficient,” he said. Based on this, we are currently implementing the five-year plan and we will take the country forward through the five-year plan perspective planning infrastructure.

The Prime Minister said the Air Force has always engaged itself in nation building in addition to its core activities. At present the coronavirus has paralyzed the whole world. The Air Force has performed considerable duties during the Corona period. In Corona situation, the Air Force has brought many corona patients to Dhaka from remote areas of the country by helicopter. Many have received advanced treatment. Life is saved. He said the Air Force’s activities are still ongoing. Arrangements have been made to transport healthcare materials from different countries through Air Force transport aircraft. The air force has brought them on time. Chartered flights have been operated under the supervision of the Air Force to bring back the Bangladeshis stranded in different countries after the international flights were canceled due to the Corona situation.
