Inauguration of Corona Vaccination Program

A nurse at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital has been vaccinated against coronavirus across the country.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the virtual program from Ganobhaban on Wednesday afternoon. Runu Berunika Costa, a senior staff nurse at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital, took the first dose of the vaccine. Another 24 people will be vaccinated on this day.
 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina witnessed the application of tickers on the first five people in a video conference.

On Thursday, 400 to 500 people from five hospitals in Dhaka will be vaccinated. Vaccination activities will start across the country on February 8.

The first to be vaccinated will be doctors, nurses, health workers, police, army, media workers and people from different walks of life, said Health Minister Zahid Malek.
