Like the last working day of January, Sunday, the first working day of February also ended on Monday (February 1). All the indices of both the stock markets declined on this day. At the same time, the share and unit prices of most of the companies participating in the transaction and the amount of money also decreased. Today, the main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX again fell below 5,600 points.

It is learned that today the main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) had a turnover of Tk 617.06 crore. Which is 105 crore 10 lakh less than the previous day. The previous day’s transaction was 623 crore 10 lakh.

Today, the DSE’s main index DSEX fell 50.08 points to 5,599.60 points. The DSE index fell below 5,600 points in one month, one day or 21 working days. Earlier, in the outgoing year, i.e. on December 30, 2020, this index was at 5,402 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index fell by 11.23 points, the DSE-30 Index by 34.90 points and the CDSET by 18.6 points to 1254.13 points, 2125.48 points and 1198.64 points respectively.

Shares and units of 356 companies traded on the DSE today. Among these companies, the share price has increased by 110 or 30.69 percent, the share price has decreased by 137 or 36.6 percent and the share and unit price of 108 or 30.33 percent has remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the overall index CASPI of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) fell by 16.14 points to 16,296.72 points. Today, 234 companies have participated in the transaction at CSE. Of these, the rates of 8 have increased, the rates of 111 have decreased and the rates of 55 have remained unchanged. Shares and units worth Tk 26.55 crore were traded on the CSE.
