The second dose of corona vaccine from April 6

The second dose of coronavirus vaccine will be given from April 6, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said. He told reporters after a meeting at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the Secretariat on Tuesday (February 23rd). 

According to the Department of Health, more than 2.3 million people in the country have been vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus as of February 22. Till Monday, 23 lakh 8 thousand 156 people have received the first dose of vaccine in the country. Of these, 15 lakh 17 thousand 815 are men and 6 thousand 69 thousand 442 are women.

So far 6 lakh 56 thousand 60 people have been vaccinated in Dhaka division. Of these, 3 lakh 8 thousand 173 people in Dhaka metropolis, 1 lakh 3 thousand 338 people in Mymensingh division, 5 lakh 22 thousand 445 people in Chittagong division, 2 lakh 62 thousand 932 people in Rajshahi division, 2 lakh 14 thousand 365 people in Rangpur division and 2 lakh people in Khulna division. 64 thousand 738 people, 1 lakh 12 thousand 17 people in Barisal division and 1 lakh 59 thousand 474 people in Sylhet division have taken the first dose of corona vaccine.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the corona vaccination program on January 26. A total of 21 people were vaccinated on that day. The next day, 548 people were vaccinated in 5 hospitals in the capital. After that, the nationwide mass immunization program started from February 8. No side effects have yet been reported in vaccinators.
