Coronavirus has killed 14 more people in the last 24 hours across the country. The total death toll stood at 6,055. 

Besides, 515 people have been newly identified in the last 24 hours. So far, the number of victims has stood at 5 lakh 32 thousand 917 people.

The information was given in a press release sent by the health department on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the notification, 14,401 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours in 200 government and private labs in the country. A total of 35 lakh 64 thousand 6 samples were tested.

Considering the sample test, the detection rate in 24 hours is 3.56 percent. And 14.7 percent have been identified in the total test so far.

Of the 14 new victims, 12 were men and two were women. The total mortality rate is 1.51 percent.

Meanwhile, another 448 people have recovered from Corona. With this, the total number of healthy people in the country stands at 4 lakh 8 thousand 428 people. Recovery rate is 89.59 percent.

After the first corona patient was identified in Bangladesh on March 6, the first one died on March 16, according to the Department of Health.
