Based on the performance review of the companies listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the CSE-50 Index has been finalized and 3 new companies have been added and the previous 3 companies have been excluded. It will be effective from March 21, 2021.

The newly added companies are Olympic Industries, The Acme Laboratories and Bank Asia Limited. The companies excluded from the index are RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh), Doreen Power Generations and Systems and Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited.

Significantly, the companies listed in the CSE-50 Index have a market capitalization of about 54.7 per cent of the total registered companies, free-float market capitalization is 60.59 per cent of the free-float market capitalization of all registered companies and all registered companies in the last six months (31). As of December 2020) the average daily turnover is 47.89 percent.
