The regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has fined three companies, which are members of the Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges, Tk 9 lakh. The fine was imposed at the 63rd regular commission meeting on Wednesday (February 24th).
According to BSEC sources, the brokerage houses are Nexus Securities, MTB Securities and First Lead Securities.
Nexus Securities has been fined Tk 2 lakh and MTB Securities Tk 5 lakh for violating various securities laws. And Sirajul Haque, Nasima Begum, Dr. against First Lead Securities. The house has been fined Rs 2 lakh for violating securities based on the allegations of MA Ahad and Ayesha Tasnim Ishita.
