In the last 24 hours, 10 more people have died due to corona virus in the country. A total of eight thousand 138 people have died.

443 people have been newly identified. In all, the number of victims stands at five lakh 35 thousand 572 people.

Monday (February 1) in the afternoon, Additional Director General of the Department of Health, Prof. This information was given in a press release signed by Nasima Sultana.

It said 472 people, including asymptomatic patients, have recovered in the last 24 hours at various hospitals and homes across the country, including Dhaka City. So far, a total of four lakh 69 thousand 74 people have recovered. Samples have been collected and tested in 206 labs under public and private management across the country. Of these, 118 are RT-PCR labs, 27 are gene-experts and 72 are rapid antigens. In these labs 12 thousand 558 samples have been collected in 24 hours. A total of 12,465 samples have been tested. So far 38 lakh 64 thousand 198 samples have been tested.

It was further informed that the rate of sample test in the last 24 hours is 3.55 percent. So far, the detection rate is 14.72 per cent considering the sample test, the recovery rate is 69.7 per cent considering the identified test and the mortality rate is 1.52 per cent considering the identified test.

Of the 10 people killed in 24 hours, nine were men and one was a woman. Seven of them are in Dhaka division. Besides, there are three each in Chittagong, Barisal and Sylhet divisions. 10 of them died at the hospital.

The age analysis of the dead showed that there were seven people over the age of 60, two between the ages of 51 and 60, and one between the ages of 41 and 50.

It may be mentioned that the first patient infected with coronavirus (Covid-19) was identified on March 8. Ten days later, on March 17, the first person died of the coronavirus.
