48 companies in the capital market received the Best Corporate Award

48 companies from different sectors listed in the capital market have received the ICMAB Best Corporate Award. The award is given on the basis of the annual report of the corporate organizations analyzing their activities. This time these awards have been given in 15 categories.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, the chief guest at the event, handed over the award to the top executives of the companies at a function held at a five-star hotel in the capital on Thursday (February 25th).

This time Rupali Bank Limited has won the first (Gold) award in the state-owned bank category.

BRAC Bank Limited received the first (Gold) Award in the Private Commercial Bank category. The second (Silver) award went to Eastern Bank Limited. The third (bronze) award went to Dutch Bangla Bank Limited.

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited has won the first (Gold) Award in the category of Private Commercial Bank (Islamic Operations). Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited received the second (Silver) award. The third (bronze) award was jointly received by Social Islami Bank Limited and First Securities Islami Bank Limited.

IDLC Finance Limited won the first (Gold) Award in the Non-Bank Financial Institution category. The second (Silver) award went to IPDC Finance Limited.

Green Delta Insurance Limited won the first (Gold) award in the General Insurance category. The second (Silver) award was jointly received by Nitol Insurance Limited and Reliance Insurance Limited. The third (bronze) award went to Prabhati Insurance Limited.

Pragati Life Insurance Limited and Popular Life Insurance Limited jointly won the first (Gold) Award in the Life Insurance Category. Meghna Life Insurance Limited received the second (Silver) award. The third (bronze) award went to Sandhani Life Insurance Limited.

Square Pharmaceuticals Limited won the first (Gold) Award in the Pharmaceuticals category. Renata Limited received the second (Silver) award. The third (bronze) award was jointly won by Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited and Orion Pharma Limited.

Premier Cement Mills Ltd. won the first (Gold) Award in the Cement Manufacturing category. The second (Silver) award went to MI Cement Factory Limited. The third (bronze) award went to Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Limited.

Paramount Textile Limited won the first (Gold) Award in the Textile Manufacturing category. Square Textile Limited received the second (Silver) award. The third (bronze) award went to Envoy Textiles Limited.

British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited won the first (Gold) award in the Multinational Manufacturing category. The second (Silver) award was jointly received by Linde Bangladesh Limited and Marico Bangladesh Limited. The third (bronze) award went to Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited.

Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited has won the first (Gold) award in other manufacturing categories. The second (Silver) award went to RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited. The third (bronze) award went to BBS Cables Limited.

Summit Power Limited won the first (Gold) award in the Power and Energy category. The second (Silver) award went to Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited. The third (bronze) award was jointly won by Doreen Power Generation and Systems Limited and Baraka Power Limited.

Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd. won the first (Gold) Award in the Agro and Food Processing category. The second (Silver) award went to Olympic Industries Limited. The third (bronze) award went to National Tea Company Limited.

Padma Oil Company Limited and Meghna Petroleum Limited jointly won the first (Gold) award in the Trading and Assembly category. The second (Silver) award went to Information Technology Consultants Limited. Navana CNG Limited received the third (bronze) award.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Prof. Dr. was present as a special guest. Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. Md. Zafar Uddin, FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim, South Asian Federation of Accountants President AKM Delwar Hussain, Chairman of the Corporate Awards Committee. Abdul Aziz, ICMAB President. Jamal Uddin Akand, ICMAB vice-president. Mamunur Rashid and ICMAB Secretary Monirul Islam. Besides, high-ranking officials of various government and non-government organizations were also present on the occasion.

Former governor was a member of the jury board in this year’s competition. Atiur Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering. Satya Prasad Majumder and former CEO and Managing Director of IDLC Anis A. Eat.
