Due to the Corona situation, the two-day Bangabandhu Bima Mela has been canceled. The fair was to be held on March 1 and 2 on the occasion of National Insurance Day-2021. The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) will announce this at a press conference on Saturday (February 28) at 3 pm. However, the government will observe Insurance Day on March 1 with the slogan of Mujibvarsha’s promise, insurance should be for everyone. On this day, National Insurance Day will be celebrated at Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be present on the occasion as the chief guest. It will be chaired by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman joined Alpha Insurance Company on March 1, 1970. To commemorate the day he joined the insurance profession, the government has declared March 1 as National Insurance Day. National Insurance Day was inaugurated on March 1, 2020 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center.
